You will be shocked to know that Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal is a crorepati and also richer than BJP's Narendra Modi.

 

While filing his nomination from Varanasi on Wednesday, Kejriwal declared his movable and immovable assets worth ₹ 2.14 crore. On the other hand, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has assets worth only ₹ 1.5 crore.

 

According to the affidavit filed by Kejriwal, he has movable assets worth ₹ 425085 and his wife Sunita has assets worth ₹ 1741583. The in-hand cash of the former chief minister and his wife are ₹ 15000 and ₹ 10000 respectively.

 

Kejriwal has declared a total income in 2012-13 at ₹ 205600 while his wife's income during that time period was ₹ 984570.

 

The AAP chief has declared he has two flats in India; one at Indirapuram in Ghaziabad which is worth ₹ 55 lakh and the second is at Shivani in Haryana worth ₹ 37 lakh. Also, his wife owns a flat at Gurgaon which is valued at ₹ 1 crore.

 

Kejriwal is liable to pay electricity bills up to ₹ 23550 which was nil while he filed nomination during assembly polls in November. Also, Sunita has a total liability of ₹ 41 lakh out of which she owe ₹ 30 lakh to the State Bank of India.

 

Astonishingly, the controversial leader in Varanasi, Kejriwal, has also mentioned 6 cases against him pending in various courts.

 

On the other hand, Kejriwal's rival in Varanasi Narendra Modi has declared the movable assets worth ₹  5157582 including the fixed deposits and cash in bank.

 

Narendra Modi does not own any vehicle while his rings are worth ₹ 1.35 lakh. The Gujarat Chief Minister has ₹ 29700 as cash in hand.

 

According to the declaration, the Gandhinagar located residential house of Modi is estimated to be worth ₹ 1 crore while he does not won any other property in any other part of the country.

In his characteristic style, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal tried to strike a chord with the people of Varanasi on Wednesday. "I am a fakir," he told them repeatedly.

"I have only Rs. 500 in my pocket," he added.

But the affidavit filed by Kejriwal presents an altogether different picture. According to it, he has Rs. 4,25,085 in his SBI account. And his wife Sunita has total movable assets worth Rs. 17,41,583.     

Kejriwal also has immovable assets to the tune of Rs. 92 lakh. While his wife has immovable assets worth Rs. 1 crore.

"Having considerable movable and immovable assets is no big thing for a person having a B. Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur and who was also an IRS official. Arvind Kejriwal's wife is also a government official. But this man is just simply trying to fool people of Kashi by building his image of a fakir," said Dr Vishwanath Pandey, former BHU official.

आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता अरविंद केजरीवाल और उनकी पत्नी, भाजपा के पीएम उम्मीदवार नरेंद्र मोदी से ज्यादा बड़े करोड़पति हैं। अरविंद केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को वाराणसी में अपना नामांकन भरा। इस नामांकन के मुताबिक, अरविंद और उनकी पत्नी के पास कुल 2.14 करोड़ रुपये की चल-अचल संपत्ति है। वहीं, नरेंद्र मोदी की घोषित संपत्ति 1.5 करोड़ रुपये है।

अपने इस नामांकन में केजरीवाल ने यह लिखा कि उनके खिलाफ विभिन्न अदालतों में छह मामले चल रहे हैं। आप के नेता ने नामांकन ने कहा है कि उनके पास दो फ्लैट- एक इंदिरापुरम, गाजियाबाद में और दूसरा हरियाणा के शिवानी में हैं। इंदिरापुरम के फ्लैट की कीमत 55 लाख रुपये आंकी गई है, जबकि शिवानी के मकान की लागत 37 लाख रुपये है।

केजरीवाल की पत्नी सुनीता के नाम गुडगांव में 2,244 वर्ग मीटर (क्षेत्रफल) बड़ा फ्लैट है, जिसकी लागत 1 करोड़ रुपये है। केजरीवाल काशी नगरी में भाजपा के प्रधानमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार नरेंद्र मोदी के खिलाफ चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। दिल्ली के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने घोषित किया कि उनके पास चल संपत्ति 4,25,085 रुपये हैं जबकि उनकी पत्नी के पास कुल 17,41,583 रुपये हैं। इसमें 300 ग्राम सोना शामिल है जिसकी लागत 9 लाख रुपये है।

नामांकन के मुताबिक, उनकी जेब में फिलहाल 15,000 रुपये नकद राशि है, जबकि पत्नी के पास 10,000 रुपये हैं। नामांकन के मुताबिक, उनकी पत्नी पर कुल देनदारी 41 लाख रुपये की है, जिसमें स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया से लिए 30 लाख रुपये का होम लोन और रिश्तेदारों से लिए 11 लाख रुपये शामिल हैं।
